  • Ellesmere Island, Nunavut is also roughly the size of England. It has a population of 191 people and has the most northern permanent settlement in the world, Alert with a population of 62. Superman movie Man of Steel has scenes filmed on Ellesmere.
  • Baffin Island, Nunavut is the largest in Canada being more than double the size of England and the 5th biggest in the world. Its population is 14,134. Iqualit is on this island and has the highest population by a considerable amount of 7, 740.
  • Canada has the highest amount of immigration half the people who live here were born somewhere else.
